High Performing Teams & Conflict Management

with Aaron Miller, Director of Community Leadership Programs, Leadership Louisville Center

Aaron MillerDeveloping and leading high-performance teams can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your career – and also one of the most challenging. When it comes to conflict, studies show that the teams who manage conflict well – not the teams who avoid it – are the highest performing. This free, virtual microlearning session will touch on the science behind high-performance teams, specifically around managing conflict. By learning tools on how to speak and be heard (and encouraging others to do the same), you’ll surface the best ideas, make the highest-quality decisions, and build trust within teams.

This talk is a small portion of the two-day workshop Developing & Leading High-Performance Teams which will be offered as a course from the Leadership Louisville Center in November of 2022. It’s also one of the courses offered by the Center for private or on-site training for organizations, learn more.

Elevate Impact by Managing Priorities (NOT Time)

with Cynthia Knapek, President, Leadership Louisville Center

Learn why managing priorities – not time- is the key to increased production. It also enables you to create the momentum that wins the respect of others. This session will provide attendees with a tool to help figure out which activities are high-yield and which ones are slowing you down. Attendees leave with an understanding of how to create space on the calendar for focus and long-range planning so that you can stop spending all your time on urgent firefighting and redirect that attention to what is important. This is one of the critical competencies to become a “Level Five Leader’ made famous by John Maxwell’s all-time best seller, Developing the Leader Within You.

This talk is a small portion of the full-day workshop Developing the Leader in You which Cynthia Knapek of the Leadership Louisville Center will be facilitating in October of 2022.
